What I Most Want You to Know

What I Most Want You to Know

The Universe always has a way of providing the exact experiences that, when lived, provided the opportunities for the greatest growth—it just doesn't feel like it in the moment.

I had a bit of an email list shakeup (read wipeout) to start the year off. It wasn't exactly in my business plan and to be sure it stopped me in my tracks and had me evaluating exactly which step I wanted to take next. I am choosing to see this experience as an opportunity to not rebuild my list but as a catalyst to help bring my full PRESENCE into my work in the way that the flowers are always, ALWAYS showing me how to do—how to bloom.

And there is much that I want to share, that I want you to know. So much in fact that I had to write a blog post about it!

I want you to know that Soulflower Plant Spirit Art is not just a business for me, it is my personal journey of healing (wholing), spiritual growth and self-discovery, and an external manifestation of my inner spiritual work as I learn to navigate what it means to be human.

My GIFT is to see the beauty and magic and love in the world around me. My HEARTSWORK is to see the beauty and magic and love in myself, to nurture self-compassion and joy, and allow that creative energy to ripple out into the world, inspiring others to do the same...like dandelion wishes on a breeze.

I want you to know that from the beginning Soulflower has always been an idea, an inspiration, a wish, that has come straight from my heart. It's essence like the gentle growth and unfolding of all the plants and flowers that capture my heart and soul on a daily basis, and who are lovingly guiding me to my highest potential in this lifetime.

I want you to know that GROWTH IS UNCOMFORTABLE! My work does not offer quick fixes or certain outcomes. Remembering ourselves whole, bringing to light and shedding the pieces that we are not, is a spiral journey, a daily practice where we come to deeper and deeper levels of understanding of ourselves, our lives and the Earth we live on. Some cycles flow and feel joyful and others...well, not so much.

This is a never ending process, it is heart work, and it is not something that anyone else can do for us. I want you to know that the only way to joyful fulfilment, happiness and healing, is to follow YOUR own internal guidance, to follow YOUR heart.

I want you to let go of all the doubts. Release the worries that you are doing it wrong. That you are somehow broken, unlovable or unworthy of a joyful and meaningful life.

I want you to know, to TRUST, that YOU ARE ENOUGH, that there is enough, that you are fully supported and you have everything you need within to live and experience the life of love and connection that your heart knows is possible.

TRUST. TRUST. TRUST!

I want you to know that our lives, our stories, our experiences are all part of the soil from which we get to grow our best selves. No two lives are the same, just like no two flowers are either. But that doesn’t mean that we are meant to be on this journey alone. Sharing our stories, supporting and witnessing each other, is what provides the refreshing water and the warming sunlight that helps us to grow.

I want you to know that there is so much of our world that we cannot see much less comprehend or rationally make sense of and our intuition, our heart’s knowing works at an energetic level. We have to feel it.

When we try to plan and control our lives in ways that eliminate pain or suffering we are also stifling our ability to discern our heart’s knowing. To me this is disempowerment. And a vicious cycle where we believe that we are failures if we hurt—and so we try to hide and stifle the pain, which only numbs further our connection with our magnificent bodies and the magnificent Earth.

I want you to know that in order to remember and embody this truth we have to be willing to be open to all of life, we have to feel it all, and allow it to move through us. Becoming fully present, fully grounded and embodied we open ourselves to the joy and the magic as well as the inevitable pain. Suffering is then a choice and we can choose to let it go. To me this is empowerment.

I want you to know that I feel very clearly that I am meant to be sharing this Soulflower journey and the healing power of the plant spirits that flow through my heART and hands. Giving it voice, giving it form, so that I may know myself authentically, know joy, and create and live from my heart, and in so doing, inspire others to do the same. I know this is how, together, we will heal the Earth.

I want you to know that it is not easy to bring our full presence into our lives. Personally, there are many reasons why I choose to hide, why I choose to play it safe and only partially show up. I’m pretty sure the same goes for you and your journey. But the flowers, the Earth, and my heart are all pretty persistent it seems! And I know deeply the incredible value of my work for myself and others and why I need to show up for it whole-heartedly.

And so I want you to know I am taking another step towards bringing my full presence into my Soulflower work by co-hosting in person workshops and day retreats with my Plant Spirit friends. You can see what is on offer HERE.

We are not meant to be on this journey alone and that goes for me too!

If Southern Maine is too far I want you to know about my online Soulflower Sanctuary—a mentorship program where women from all over the world come together to journey through each moon cycle with a different Soulflower guide each time. This is still a small, intimate experience, with emailed resources and virtual group gatherings to support all the women in the group. You can find out more HERE.

I want you to know that I do offer a FREE Facebook group as a way to explore the Soulflowers further in the privacy of a group of women who all share the same interest in the flowers and our collective journey of self-discovery. Join HERE.

I want you to know that my Soulflower Plant Spirit Oracle deck is available to try for FREE on my website HERE. Not only can you easily pick a daily card but I have now added further information and links for you to DIG DEEPER with the Plant Spirit that shows up for you.

And last, (but not least) I want you to know that I send out emails twice per month, around the New Moon and the Full Moon, with inspiration, meditative coloring pages and my personal insights and experiences with the Plant Spirits. 😁It's my way to stay connected to and build community with those that resonate with my work. Scroll to the bottom of the page to add your name to my list. I want you to know that I never want to be clutter in your inbox, so please, if the content does not speak to you, feel free to unsubscribe at any time.

With SO MUCH GRATITUDE for this amazing journey and to YOU for sharing it with me.

I love your work. You have such a genuinely kind nature. You capture and relay so beautifully the messages of flowers.

Consider the truth that you are the most powerful healer available to you. Consider that you are fully supported in all ways and that you have everything you need within to be happy, whole, and ready to handle whatever hardships and challenges life may bring.

I cannot force and push and struggle to create a daily self-care practice, or create a rigid to-do checklist of items to support it. Sheer will and determination is not the way. Not my way, anyway.  Instead I have learned, and am constantly learning, that I have to gently open and surrender into my daily practice.

The wisdom the Earth shares, with her cycles of day and night, her seasons, and the rhythm and strength of the moon pulling and pushing our bodies and our own feminine cycles, is a beautiful and multi-layered map lovingly guiding us all.
